Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 tablespoons honey or corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup all purpose or whole wheat flour
1-1/4 cup Crispy rice cereal
2 cups quick cooking oats
1/2 cup craisins or raisins (optional)
1/2 -1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (optional)
1/2 to 1 cup nuts, chopped (optional)
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add honey, vanilla and egg; mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix together cinnamon, baking powder, salt and flour. Add these dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.
- Stir in oats, cereal and raisins, chips and nuts as desired.
- Press into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until the top is lightly browned.
- Cut into 24 servings. Enjoy!
